Alcoa Fastening Systems Receives SAE International Award
Don Youngblood, Customer Account Manager for Alcoa Fastening Systems’ U.S. Central region, was honored with the SAE International Thomas H. Speller Award during the 2012 SAE International Aerospace Manufacturing and Automated Fastening (AMAF) Conference & Exhibition in Fort Worth, Texas.
This award recognizes exceptional achievements of an individual who, through dedicated service, tireless efforts, high ideals, and vision, contributed significantly to the implementation of manufacturing processes and methodologies in the dedicated discipline of automated fastening machines and their applications. Established in 1983, the award is administered by the Aerospace Automated Fastening Committee.
Mr. Younbglood has been with the company for 33 years. Craig Brown, AFS VP Global Customers and Marketing said, “We are extremely proud of Don’s achievements. He has been a contributing member of SAE’s Aerospace Manufacturing and Automated Fastening Committee for over 25 years, and he has received a well deserved honor.”
