Since the demands for sheet metal for the automotive industry declined, Baosteel adjusts the steel price in May. Cold rolled is down RMB$300/ton, hot rolled is down RMB$200/ton, while pickling, hot-dip galvanized, galvanized, and coating are down RMB$200-300/ton. Only silicon steel is up by RMB$1,500/ton. This is the first time for Baosteel to down adjusts the steel price since last September and the weak demand is the major cause.
