U.S Steel Factories Raise Wire Rod Prices Again

U.S steel factories impose the second wire rod price adjustment in nearly a month. The U.S ArcelorMittal, Keystone Steel Wire Company and Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. raise wire rod price by US$60/ short ton and begin to implement from Jan. 2011. Through the adjustment, the ex-factory price of low-carbon wire rod will go up by US$825~885/ short ton. In mid-November, the U.S. steel wire rod price rose to U.S$20 / short ton, which has not been accepted by the market since poor overall demands.
