The founder invented the first Double Row Self-aligning Ball Bearing. It has now over 140 branches in over 70 countries, 120 among which are manufacturing plants and cooperated with over 15,000 distributors and agents. The current number of employees is 46,000.
The sales of the group in 2012 was about SEK64.6 billion (roughly USD9.6 billion). 27% of the net sales was from Asia and half of the sales in Asia was from China.
The group has 5 technical platforms: bearings & bearing units, sealants, mechanical & electric integration, lubrication, and service. Major products include bearings, mechanical sealants, lubricants, drivers, testing, transmission & suspension, etc. Products are widely applied in the automotive, aerospace, railway, and appliance industry.
