Severstal NA announced on November 8 that the prices of its all flat rolled products would face a 2-step increase, which would influence the hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized, Galvalume, and electroplated steel made in its U.S. mills. The adjustment includes: Step 1. The price for new orders this year will increase by US$40 per ton. Step 2. Orders in January 2011 will have a specific basic price. Although the cost of raw materials is increasing, the demand for steel continues to grow.
