GPF -Strength of Second-generation in the Taiwan’s Fastener Industry Rises
At 10 a.m, right on the day of TFTA 2011 annual meeting held on December 7, the yearly GPF(Global Platform for Fasteners)came off enthusiastically at Grand Hi-Lai Hotel in Kaohsiung. TFTA especially invited the president of EFDA Mr. Bernhard Berrang and president of NFDA Mr. Jay Queenin to share together with the TFTA’s new and previous presidents, consultants, directors and supervisors about the latest U.S Nucor case, industry’s developments and trends, China’s circumventing anti-dumping duties by exporting fasteners to the EU through a third country, etc. In addition, we also saw the young second-generation of Taiwan’s fastener industry unfolding high courage by actively asking questions in English and also joining ardently in the discussion with two presidents of EFDA and NFDA. Obviously, TFTA shows its diligence and intentions in training the second generation.
Hosted by Mr. Steven Fang, the chairman of TFTA International Affairs Committee, the whole GPF proceeded smoothly, and meanwhile he also reported the status quo of Taiwan’s fastener industry. Due to the brilliant commentaries from Mr. Berrang coupled with Mr. Queenin’s hearty sense of humor, all participants could, in the solemn but open atmosphere, increase significant experience of international affairs exchanges.
In the following two sections, we capture part of the splendid remarks and discussions from the three fastener associations to all readers:
