Indonesia Auto Production and Sales Overview from January to September

According to the statistics of GAIKINDO, the gross car output of Indonesia from January to September was 612,600 units and the gross sales volume in the same period was 659,800 units. Indonesian car industry is mainly distributed in West Java Island with 12 car assembly manufacturers and more than 300 car accessories and parts manufacturers. In 2008, Indonesia surpassed Malaysia, becoming the second largest car producer in Southeast Asia, behind Thailand.
