Severstal-Metiz Starts Producing New Metal Wire

Severstal Russian Steel under Severstal-Metiz Group is the first company in Russia to produce high-strength metal wires with diameter of 0.56mm.  Russia did not have product manufacturers using such high-pressure reinforced hose. Now, the metal wire from tier 3 high-pressure used for reinforcement, will be produced at Severstal-Metiz plant of Orel City. To develop this product and obtain the strength required for metal wire, Severstal-Metiz develops its own techniques and the metal wire with 0.56mm high-pressure reinforced hose. Currently, some plants already place order.

General Manager Igor Shulgin of Severstal-Metiz said,“For our production process, the adoption of      special European metal wire is an important step for us to receive more orders from customers.”The diameter of such metal wire is 0.20~0.60mm, used in weaving grouping or spiral high-pressure reinforced hose.
