Statistics of US Screw Product Importers from January to June

According to Taiwan Industrial Fasteners Institute data, the United States screws products imports amounted to 769,700 tons from January to June. The top three countries importing to U.S. were China (268,700 tons), Taiwan (225,200 tons) and the United Arab Emirates (55,800 tons); the growths on a y-o-y basis were 7.71%, -2.34% and -4.25% respectively. However, it should be noted that for Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, their export volume to U.S. had substantially grown over the same period last year. The import volume exhibited YoY increases of 35.1% (total 9,083 tons), 30.29% (total 8,544 tons) and 81.17% (total 8,309 tons). It was perhaps influenced by the fact that the Chinese and Taiwanese manufacturers have set up factories in those regions in recent years.
