Trump Signs 25% Tariff on All Steel and Aluminum Products

On Feb./10, U.S. President Trump signed an executive action imposing a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum products imported into the U.S. (including finished metal products), regardless of the source of import.
Trump said there will be no exceptions or exemptions to this action. According to statistics, the U.S. current major steel import partners are Canada, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea and Vietnam. Trump emphasized that the reason for imposing a 25% tariff on all countries is quite simple: “Because they tax the U.S., the U.S. should tax them,” he said.
