Canada Imposes 100% Tariff on Chinese EVs

On August 26, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau announced a 100% tariff imposed on Chinese electric vehicles, effective from October 1 this year. Some analysts say that Canada's move was to follow the steps of the United States. The Chinese Embassy in Canada issued a statement saying that the Canadian government ignored China's repeated objections and solemn representations and insisted on announcing additional tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and other products. China expresses strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to this.
