Taiwan CSC Could be Raising Wire Rod Price for Q2 2023

According to vice sales president of Taiwan CSC, the cost of coal and iron ore remains high, and the supply and demand in the steel market is reaching a balance and developing positively, leaving "no room for a wire rod price drop against the market trend in Q2". As he pointed out, Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation in Vietnam raised the price from January to March this year, by a total of 93 U.S. dollars. The price rise goes with China's steel plants as well, but with Taiwan CSC dropping the price in Q1, the price gap between Taiwan and China has exceeded NTD 4,000. Therefore, Taiwan CSC will have to act upon it in Q2.
