Report on Global Crude Steel Production from January to May 2011

According to the statisitcs of World Steel Association, the global crude steel production has reached around 630.923 million tons from January to May 2011. The total production of Asian crude steel accounted for 403.964 million tons, among which China producing 292.871 million tons ranked the first in Asia. The total production of the 27 member countires of EU was 77.637 million tons, also accounting for large volume among the global total production. For Taiwan, the total crude steel production from January to May was 8.408 million tons.
