Peruvian New Car Sale for First 5 Months of 2011 Increased 24% Compared to the Same Period Last Year

According to the report from Peruvian Automotive Association (AAP), the new car sale in Peru reached 56,028 units in the first 5 months of 2011, increasing 24% in comparison to the same period last year. The situation reflected the rapid growth of car sale and marketing this year. In World Economic Outlook Report published on June 17 by IMF, it predicted that Peru, with 6.6% economic growth rate, is the fastest growing country in Latin America. It is followed by Chile (6.2%), Argentina (6%), Colombia (4.6%), Brazil (4.1%), and Venezuela (3.3%).
