PM boost in Asia

According to the MPIF and the Japan Powder Metallurgy Association (JPMA), China produced 151,134 short tons of PM parts in 2010, while Japan produced 103,850 short tons. The  production of iron and copper-base powder metallurgy (PM) parts in Asia increased by 33% to 425,441 short tons in 2010, compared with 2009. The major end markets cover transportation, industrial and electrical machines. In addition to China and Japan, important countries in the PM field include Korea, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
