2010 Ukraine Fastener Output Increases 70%

As global economy was recovering, Ukrainian metal-product production in 2010 rose dramatically over 2009. Apart from nails, other metal-product production grew by almost 20%. Especially, Fastener output increased by about 70%. According to statistics, 2010 Ukrainian total metal-product production is 270,000 tons. Among them, wirework was over 200,000 tons, others were industrial fasteners 1,600 tons; wire rope 29,400 tons; steel strand wire 8,400 tons; steel net 6,800 tons. Although nail output reached 13,300 tons, but decreased by 14.3% compared with 2009. Russia has been Ukraine's major  import country of metal products for a long time.
