UPS started off in 2006 as an 100% export-oriented unit. As time moved on, UPS also started to build customers in the Indian market. Today, UPS has become one of the best-quality and high-strength fastener manufacturers in India with 630 employees and an export-to-domestic sales ratio of 74:26. It was awarded “Export Excellence 2016-2017” by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India.
Certificates and Capability to Cover General and High-end Industry Demands
UPS core expertise lies in producing Safety Critical Fasteners for all segments it services. In 2017, it acquired the IATF16949 certificate and upgraded from TS16949. Besides Automotive Fastening Components, UPS services Wind Energy, Aerospace, Nuclear, Power Generation & Industrial markets, for which UPS has the following certifications: ISO, IATF, OHSAS, PED, CE. Particularly for aerospace applications, UPS follows AS 9100D Standard and all special processes like heat treatment and nondestructive testing are NADCAP-approved.
UPS has all manufacturing and testing facilities in-house for manufacturing fasteners and machining components. “Our lab is ISO17025-approved. Our production is flexible and we can produce a small number to a million pieces of parts per customer requirements.”
Servicing World-class Clients
UPS supplies directly or indirectly to Suzuki, Honda, GE, John Deer, BMW, VW, Ford, Honeywell, Borg Warner, Mando, Advics, Dana. Rafale, HAL, ISRO, DRDO, among other renowned clientele. It installed top-class machining centers with 5 axis controls which can ensure Zero PPM and industry-leading parts production.” It currently supplies to Europe (accounting for 43%), Americas (24%) and Asia (33%).
New Sales Milestone
UPS achieved sales of EUR 27 million in 2018, a record growth from EUR 21.5 million in 2017. This year it is targeting EUR 30.5 million.
Wrapping up, UPS strength is being defect-free and flexible with shorter lead time, competitive prices and customizability. “We want to highlight that our major strength in export is the supply of shoulder screws and dowel pins where we stand as a world leader and we can supply in a wide range with short lead time!”
