Fasteners World Middle East 01/14-17
The location of Sharjah has made it become one of the most important economic and transportation hub that connects the East with the West since the 20th Century. Sharjah represents 45% of the UAE’s total industrial production value. Many exhibitors who saw the opportunities the 2020 World Expo might bring to manufacturing were also present at the exhibition in 2019. A high percentage of visitors were metal processing plants or metal manufacturers, as well as traders and distributors. Many visitors told our correspondent that they hoped Taiwanese fastener suppliers could set up factories or designate local sales agents in UAE, as what local users mostly request is “pre-packed fasteners. As a result, if Taiwanese suppliers can set up their local factories in UAE, they will have more opportunities to directly contact with local users demanding pre-packed fasteners.
M-Tech Tokyo 02/06-08
The 30th edition of M-Tech Tokyo took place at Tokyo Big Sight on February 06 through February 08, which was packed with several industrial professionals from domestic Japan and other countries. A diverse range of exhibits were displayed on-site in 2019, including various mechanical components & subcontracting service, industrial IT solutions, factory equipment and peripherals, 3D printers, aerospace technology, 3D & virtual reality technology and many other related products, service, technology and solutions. According to the organizer, the 3-day event drew more than 80,000 buyers and visitors in attendance, fully revealing the tremendous demand in the entire industry for various industrial components, facilities and service. On the other hand, the show also drew the participation of over 1,500 registered exhibitors to search for business opportunities and establish partnerships in the Japanese market.
Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City 02/28-03/02
The annually held Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City took place February 28 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, which was a 3-day event. On the 10,200 sqm exhibition zone, 359 exhibitors from 18 countries incl. China, Germany, S. Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam came to exhibit their latest parts & components, electronics & systems, accessories & customizing, repair & maintenance, alternative drive systems & digital solutions, etc. The fair provided important opportunities for local businesses to connect, network, exchange business ideas and broker deals with some of the industry’s most influential names. It also helped companies shape their business strategies and investment decisions when penetrating Vietnam’s automotive industry, and supported local firms entering overseas markets.
Istanbul Hardware Fair 03/14-17
This Fair was considered by buyers from Turkey and many neighboring European countries to be one of the most important hardware fairs in the world. The geographical advantage of Istanbul drew many manufacturers and buyers to the Fair to look for opportunities. Turkey has a population of above 80 million with a considerable domestic market and vibrant demand in the automotive components and construction industries. The forthcoming business opportunities are very promising. The Fair was held in Hall 9 and Hall 10 of Istanbul Expo Center in 2019. A total of 153 exhibitors took part in this event, and 142 Turkish exhibitors made up the largest exhibitors group. Other exhibitors from around the world included those from Germany, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Taiwan, and China. China made up the largest overseas exhibitors group.
Fastener Fair Stuttgart 03/19-21
The biennial Fastener Fair Stuttgart entered its 8th edition. It is the world’s largest show for the fastener industry with not only European exhibitors but also exhibitors from Asia, Southeast Asia, India and the Americas who attend almost every year. Around 170 exhibitors came from Taiwan which became the third largest exhibiting country of the 8th edition. The show had two Taiwan Pavilions, one located in Hall 5 and the other in Hall 1, and both were aimed to offer a complete fastener supply chain for global buyers. According to the organizer, 987 exhibitors from 45 countries came to exhibit on the total 22,200 sqm exhibition space. Compared to the last edition, the number of exhibitors increased by 10% and the total exhibition space increased by 5%. This 3-day event drew buyers from around the world including Europe, South Africa, Argentina, Russia and the U.S, who hoped to find more fastener purchase platforms there. According to the data released by the organizer, a total of 12,070 visitors from 90 countries (+3% compared to the last edition) came to Stuttgart to discover the latest trends and products from all areas of fastener and fixing technology and to network with other industry experts.
M-Tech Nagoya 04/17-19
Manufacturing World Nagoya 2019 attracted 1,150 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors in attendance, making the event the largest mechanical relevant trade show in central Japan. 90% of the visitors were professional purchasers from Japan. Exhibitors also demonstrated their highly efficient new products, technology and design and discussed with buyers to see which solution would be the best for them. Manufacturing World Nagoya was quite a big trade show. The international pavilion in 2019 included Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, China, etc. Fastener related exhibitors were mostly located in Hall no. 3, while some other mechanical components related exhibitors were located in Hall no. 1 and Hall no. 2. Visitors to the thematic fastener area were mostly traders, distributors and manufacturers. Japanese purchasers also showed high interest in industrial & construction fasteners, threading plates, molds & dies, testing machines, feeding machines, etc. from Taiwan, Europe and USA.
Fastener Fair India 04/25-26
Fastener Fair India 2019 was held on April 25 to 26 at Bombay Exhibition Centre (Mumbai). In 2019 most of the visitors were local Indian manufacturers and distributors and the Fair was also concurrently held with the other fairs for building materials and sheet metal with a deluge of incoming visitors. On the opening day lots of visitors came to Fastener World’s stand to get some free copies of Fastener World publications and catalogues, showing the eagerness of local companies to seek for more collaboration. Brought by Fastener World, companies including Anchor, Chite, Chang Horng, Chun Chan, Chirek, Chien Tsai, Home Soon, Homn Reen, Hung Li (Hurmg Yieh), King Yuan Dar, Sheng Kai, Yeswin were also present as exhibitors at the Fair. Fastener World also had a stand to disseminate our latest magazines and CDs and tried our best to provide buyers visiting our stand with more detailed information of each of our supplier’s products and increase the awareness of these brands.
Ningbo Fastener Spring and Manufacturing Equipment Exhibition 04/25-27
A historical city of culture, Ningbo City has developed into one of the large industrial bases of China, and become an important manufacturing area of automotive components, dies, electric tools, hardware, stainless steel products, rail and transportation equipment, and fasteners. The market there has a large demand for fasteners and components. After 15 previous shows, the 16th edition was held at Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center during April 25 and 27, 2019. The show exhibited standard fasteners, automotive fasteners, stamped parts, materials (steel and wire), fastener equipment, and inspection technology. The total count of exhibitors reached hundreds including 40 fastener-related companies, 10 of which were sorting machine companies. Almost all the exhibitors and visitors were local Chinese.
Taipei AMPA 04/24-27
Taipei AMPA co-located with other tradeshows (AUTOTRONICS, TAIWAN ITS, TAIWAN EVS) took place at Hall 1 and Hall 2 of Nangang Exhibition Center from April 24 through 27. The show welcomed 1,340 exhibitors and the organizer estimated that the number of oversea buyers reached over 7,000 during the event. On the opening day, the team of Fastener World met a great number of buyers from other countries and regions, Japan and Southeast Asia in particular, who showed very high interest in Taiwanese made automotive fasteners. Several visitors coming to Fastener World’s stand onsite asked for locknuts and titanium screws. According to the organizer’s statistics, 171 overseas exhibitors were from 14 countries and areas, including USA, Japan, UK, Germany, France, India, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Slovenia.
Subcon Thailand 05/08-11
Subcon Thailand 2019 is co-located with Intermach and mta Asia. Several Taiwanese companies have their stands in the three thematic areas to demonstrate their excellent technique. According to the organizer’s statistics, around 400 high-quality manufacturers from 17 countries came to exhibit. The statistics also revealed that more than 50% of the visitors coming to the show over the past years were buyers or business owners, and they were mostly from automotive (26%), mechanical processing (19%) and construction (17%) industries. Thailand is the second largest economy in ASEAN and the automotive industry in the country is very well-developed. The Thai Government is also now actively pushing the introduction of Industry 4.0 into its manufacturing and is planning some relevant economic policies as well to boost the domestic demand, which is expected to further boost the demand of peripheral industries, too.
International Fastener Manufacturing Exposition 05/14-16
International Fastener Manufacturing Exposition (IFME) 2019 took place May 14 to 16 at Georgia World Congress Center and was co-located with Interwire Trade Exposition in 2019. IFME is the only industry show with a dedicated and exclusive focus on the manufacture of the full-range of fasteners and precisioned formed parts and is a manufacturing show for manufacturers featuring materials, production machinery, tooling, components, inspection and packaging systems, software, accessories, manufacturing support services...and much more. According to the statistics of the organizer, there were more than 400 exhibitors at both thematic areas (IFME + Interwire) and around 16 seminars were held during the event and visitors were from at least 50 countries. According to Fastener World’s correspondent on-site, most of exhibitors were wire and mechanical parts suppliers.
Fastener Fair USA 05/22-23
After the successful event held at Huntington Convention Center (Cleveland, OH) that drew much attention of American buyers in 2018, Fastener Fair USA 2019 was held on May 22-23 at the Cobo Center in Detroit and attracted many different semi-finished/finished products & related equipment purchasers, distributors, retailors to seek for collaboration opportunities. In addition to the latest new products and very competitive service provided by exhibitors, the organizer also arranged more than 15 technical and processing sessions, allowing more industrial interaction and market intelligence exchange. Fastener World Inc. was also present to act as a bridge closely connecting the fastener industry in the East and the West. With a new eye-catching stand construction, Fastener World was visited by lots of local manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and end-users interested in buying semi-finished/finished fasteners, machines, tooling, wire & materials.
International Fastener Show China 06/11-13
IFS China brought to a successful close in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on June 13th. With an exhibition area of 42,000 square meters, there were breakthroughs of the scale and level for the Show whose exhibition area was increased by 24% compared with that in 2018. IFS China gathered 725 renowned enterprises, attracting 36,080 visitors (including 4212 overseas visitors from 53 countries and regions) in 2019. A great number of purchasers, dealers, traders, end users, manufacturers and other industrial peers to seek new opportunities. Well-known fastener enterprises appeared collectively and presented competitive technologies and products during the show. Equipment, wire, mold and consumables suppliers were located in Hall 2, while fasteners, standard fasteners and non-standard fasteners exhibitors were located in Hall 1.
Fastener Fair Mexico 06/19-20
The 5th edition of Fastener Fair Mexico opened at World Trade Center Mexico City. The show had 104 local and overseas exhibitors from Mexico, the U.S., Taiwan, China, etc. The visitors were mainly local Mexican importers and distributors, followed by manufacturers. Most of them were looking for industrial fasteners.Taiwanese exhibitors included Chirek, Jern Yao, Uni-Protech, Ko Ying, Shyang Sheng, Easylink, Chien Tsai, Yeswin, Ony Co., and King Yuan Dar. The American and European exhibitors were major companies including Fastenal, Brighton-Best, Atotech, Accument, Bralo, Conventya, MacDermid, and Nylok. Chinese exhibitors included Hisener and Hunan Liangang Fasteners. While handing out magazines there, Fastener World utilized its own developed buyers/sellers exchange platform to find suited target of purchase for the show visitors.
Korea Metal Week 06/19-21
Korea Metal Week 2019 was held at KINTEX during June 19 to 21. The Fastener & Wire Zone covered the categories including: Bolt / Nut Products & Equipment, Automobile Parts / Fastening Products & Subsidiary Materials, Wire Production & Manufacturing. Additionally, the show was concurrently held with Press & Forging, Tools, Automobile & Machine Parts, Tube & Pipe, 3D Technology, Foundry & Die Casting, Fundamental Manufacturing Industry, Aluminum, Metal Surface Treatment & Painting, Laser & Welding, Pump Technology, Composite, Control, Measurement and Automation. This time, experts from Nord-Lock (South Korea) were invited to the show for a seminar speech on the cause of bolt loosening. The show had the attendance of 350 exhibitors, most of which were local companies including Hyodong Machinery. The overseas exhibitors included Dörken.
Fastener Expo Shanghai 06/26-28
Fastener Expo Shanghai 2019 attracted more than 800 fastener producers and equipment suppliers and was visited by over 30,000 decision makers, purchasers and engineers from fastener distributing/trading, automotive, auto parts, construction, machinery, furniture, aerospace, railway, shipbuilding industries. In 2019, more new e-commerce platforms came to exhibit during the show, creating a trend in the domestic fastener sales market of China. Celebrating the 10th Anniversary, Fastener Expo Shanghai 2019 held a “Fastener Gala Night” on the opening day, in which the “Most Loyal Exhibitor Award” and the “Largest Contributing Exhibitor Award” were awarded. The theme of the Expo in 2019 was focused on “Strengthening Export and Sales of High Value Added Products in the Domestic Market” while several sessions on topics like fastener markets, business models, technology and AI manufacturing were also held.
Expo Nacional Ferretera 09/05-07
Expo Nacional Ferretera was held for the 31st time at Expo Guadalajara during September 5 and 7. The show boasted more than 1,400 exhibitors in the hardware, construction, industrial safety, electrical and lighting from 35 countries and an average of 85,000 visitors from 62 countries, covering manufacturers, distributors, developers, engineers, and store owners. Our correspondent also handed out our latest publications there. She reported that a large portion of visitors were end users and owners with one or more hardware stores. Other visitors included construction company representatives seeking construction materials suppliers. She exchanged business cards with representative of large distribution companies who mostly import products directly from China to Mexico.
The Fastener Exhibition & Conference 09/11-12
2019 was the very first year for the Fastener Exhibition & Conference, welcoming big names from across the fastener industry. The event was the ultimate networking hub, showcasing the latest industry products and services, to help visitors keep up with the fastener trends. The Fastener Exhibition was truly unmissable, holding a fantastic award ceremony where the most innovative industry product was commended. On top of this, the show welcomed a number of inspirational expert speakers who shared their insights into the wonderful world of fasteners. The show welcomed some big names through their doors. 74 percent of visitors were the ultimate decision makers of their companies, including CEOs, Managing Directors, Directors, Finance Directors, Operations Directors, and the like. The exhibition saw companies represented across the board. Overall, 92 percent of the visitors had an influence on decisions made within their companies. So, all the exhibitors who showcased their ideas at the show made real, worthy contacts who would contact them in the future.
International Fastener Expo 09/17-19
The North America’s largest B2B trade event was held at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Bayside D-E on September 17-19, 2019. The organizer arranged full-day Sessions lectured by keynote speakers and a welcoming dinner gala on 09/17 and also arranged many industrial actifvities on 09/18-19. More than 800 exhibitors from America, Europe and Asia interested in tapping into U.S. fastener market gathered in Las Vegas for attending the annual grand fastener event. In addition to domestic U.S. exhibitors, foreign exhibitors from Taiwan, India, Korea and China all had their own pavilions at the show and showcased their finished/semi-finished fasteners, tooling, machinery, etc, making IFE’19 a must-attend show. Taiwan Pavilion represented by Fastener World was the largest international exhibitors group in 2019. During the 3-day event, nearly 80 exhibitors from Taiwan presented to U.S. maket their excellent metal processing technology and high-quality fastners and relevant machinery, which drew the attention of many U.S. purchasers seeking for further collaboration. Several U.S. told Fastener World that, due to the escalating trade tension between the U.S. and China and the worldly-known advantages of products supplied by Taiwan, they would consider strengthening their sourcing from Taiwan. Many Taiwanese exhibitors also noted that they saw a significant increase in the number of visitors and expressed great confidence and expectations for future order intakes.
Hand Tools and Fastener Expo 09/20-22
The 3-day event was participated by around 290 professional fasteners, hardware, hand tools and power tools exhibitors from Taiwan, Italy, Russia, USA, Japan, Vietnam and China. The largest exhibitors group was China, with 196 exhibiting companies, followed by 72 from India and 16 from Taiwan. In addition to Hand Tools and Fastener Expo, four other industrial trade shows were also co-located at the venue, which included “WOM” for metal processing, “TECHINDIA” for engineered manufacturing, “CWE/IMEX” for cutting, welding materials & equipment, laser technology, machine tools and applied products, and “UMEX” for used machinery. Such a large event with different relevant shows boosted the enthusiastic participation of a diverse range of visitors. Buyers visiting Hand Tools and Fastener Expo 2019 were mostly local Indian manufacturers and importers, who not only came to seek opportunities for collaboration with local product suppliers (especially those from the Greater Mumbai Area), but also for establishing future supply routes with foreign suppliers (especially exhibitors from Taiwan). According to the organizer’s preliminary estimation, the 3-day event already attracted more than 10,000 visitors in total.
M-Tech Osaka 10/02-04
M-Tech Osaka once again showed a huge number of visitor flow from around the world. Several professionals having the most advanced technology and manufacturing management knowledge were present in anticipation of establishing new business contacts. Visitors were mostly fastener manufacturers and end users from the construction or automotive industry. Exhibitors at the fastener thematic zone included suppliers of industrial fasteners, automotive fasteners, optical sorting machines, surface treatments, wrenches, thread taps, sleeves, etc. M-Tech was concurrently held with other hi-tech related shows with the participation of more than 1,350 exhibitors, making it the largest manufacturing event in the Kansai region of Japan. The “Next-Generation 3D Printing Show” was held for the first time, drawing much attention of visitors interested in new-generation manufacturing technology. Japanese manufacturing giants, such as Mitsubishi, Honda, Nissan, etc., were also invited to give their sessions on manufacturing technology, AI, Io L, 3D printing and many other latest technology, attracting the enthusiastic participation of visitors from different fields.
Fastener Poland 10/08-09
Taiwanese exhibitors represented by Fastener World in 2019 included Yung Ming, Wei Zai, Joker, Kingwin, Miao Sen, Siang Syuan Fu, Hoplite, Bi-Mirth, Sato Fastener, Chong Cheng, Fastener Jamher, Ray Fu, Nova, Kuo Hsian, Yeswin, Ony, Ji Li Deng, Chite, Your Choice, Uni-Protech, Jenn Tai, Sheh Kai, Header Plan, Home Soon, Hsiung Jen, Apex, Tsung Yang, Renetsaf, Amis, Long I, Vertigo and Filrox. Most of the visitors were looking for screws and the number of visitors was also higher than the record in 2018. In addition, quite a few of the exhibitors displayed their latest products at the show. Nearly 200 manufacturers and traders from Belgium, China, Czech, France, Spain, India, Malta, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Taiwan, Turkey, USA, UK, and Italy came to exhibit various types of fasteners, tools and related machinery. During the event, many topics were discussed in the sessions held by the organizer, which included challenges currently faced by the Polish fastener market, technical solutions for fastener manufacturers, relevant markets and technology, and 3D printing.
China International Hardware Show 10/10-12
CIHS was held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). It was also co-located with China International Building Hardware & Fasteners Show and China International Locks & Security Doors Show. These three busy shows attracted the enthusiastic attendance of visitors. The booth of Fastener World was located in Hall 1.2 (the zone for hardware and tools), where a comprehensive range of tools, building hardware, fasteners, locks & security doors were showcased. Around 70% of the visitors coming to Fastener World’s booth were looking for hardware, pneumatic tools, while the rest were looking for fasteners. Many overseas visitors came to skim through and ask for our free China Fastener Magazine. Local Chinese visitors were mostly traders, manufacturers and purchasers. In addition, many visitors told our correspondent on-site that due to the influence of U.S.-China trade war and the increased tariffs U.S. imposed on China, their business was greatly impacted.
Taiwan Hardware Show 10/17-19
Taiwan Hardware Show (THS) took place at Taichung International Exhibition Center and was participated by 430 exhibitors from Taiwan and many other countries/regions booking more than 1,000 standard booths in total, the highest record in the show’s history. The total floor plan spanned the area of 16,524 sq. meters and a variety of hardware exhibits for domestic demand and export were on display. Fastener World’s free copies of Hardware and Fastener Components Magazine were also available onsite, most of which were taken by several overseas visitors. In addition to our printed version of magazines arousing the interest of many visitors, we also recommended hardware and hand tools manufacturers visiting our stand try our online business matchmaking service, quickly helping them locate suitable suppliers and products at price levels most acceptable to them. 5 thematic sessions were arranged during the event, where domestic and overseas experts and scholars were present to discuss topics like hardware and hand tools with the audience.
Fastener Trade Show Suzhou 10/23-25
Fastener Trade Show Suzhou 2019 was held at Suzhou International Expo Centre located in Suzhou Industrial Park. Visitors were mostly from the local industries and showed high interest in fastener machinery. It was busy on the first day and well-known companies such as Hunan Liangang Fasteners, Shanghai Ju Hong and Biing Feng Enterprise were also present to exhibit. The theme in 2019 was centered on “Application and Export.” According to the organizer, the end applications of fasteners were the focus of the show. Through the in-depth collaboration with relevant auto parts, machinery, construction, electrics/electronics and hardware associations, media, distribution markets and hardware distribution centers, more end-users were invited to visit the show. The concurrently held event was “Most Popular Fastener Applications Summit,” which included thematic speeches and discussions on cars and construction related to fasteners, and which was for establishing an ideal platform for technique training and intelligence exchange.
Moscow International Tool Expo 11/05-08
Moscow International Tool Expo (MITEX) took place at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The show welcomed over 400 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions. The exhibits included power tools, hand tools, car repair tools, tooling, cutting tools, testing and measuring equipment, fasteners, hardware, etc. 5 halls taking up a total of 16.5 thousand meters were open in 2019. Exhibitors from Taiwan, Germany and China also had their own respective pavilions. Chinese exhibitors even took up almost 2 halls. There were around 14 hardware and hand tool exhibitors from Taiwan. What’s worth noting is, local Russian buyers at MITEX were not quite familiar with English; and therefore, not only offering more price competitive and quality-guaranteed products is the key to tapping into the Russian market, but also a fluent Russian language skill is the key to achieving this goal. Russia mainly focuses on steel, machinery and military industries. In the first 3 quarters of 2019, Taiwan exported USD 30 million worth of fasteners and USD 17 million worth of related hand tools to Russia. With a certain degree of market scale, Russia is a potential market for Taiwanese fastener and tool companies.
MACTECH 11/13-16
Over 25,000 trade visitors were available over the course of the event representing the following business professions: industrialists, government officials, businessmen, investors, trade agents, buyers & sellers, dealers, distributors, purchasing officers, importers & exporters, industry specialists & professionals, manufacturers, mechanical engineers, merchants, retailers/ wholesalers, trade associations in addition to general public interested to view the latest production lines and technologies as far as metal forming, machine and hand tools, welding & cutting Equipment technologies sectors are concerned. The main objective of the visitors was to source the latest, inventive products on offer with emphasis on the technology aspect. Presenting the most efficient and convenient forum for technology makers to penetrate the evolving well-off markets of Egypt and the Middle East at a time; the four-day event presented an unrivaled business platform to generate remarkable tradeoff deals that reached millions of dollars in value. On the visitors’ side, MACTECH was characterized by a great tendency to invest; with a concrete intent among the local and regional trade audience to get flawlessly geared up for the future with the latest technologies of which was noticeably perceivable within MACTECH.
ENGIMACH-COMFAST 12/04-08
ENGIMACH-COMFAST took place at the Gandhinagar Exhibition Centre, Gujarat, India. Gujarat is one of the highly industrialized States of India with well-developed petrochemical, machine tools and electrical engineering industries. Many products for industrial use were showcased at the exhibition in 2019. The exhibits included industrial machines, fasteners for household appliances, stud welding machines, thread tapping machines, thread gauges, thread mills, pneumatic wrenches, thread forming dies, coatings and chemicals for fasteners, etc. Visitors of the exhibition were almost from local Indian industries and nearly 90% of them were manufacturers and end-users. They showed high interest in Chinese fasteners and also said that “China Fastener World Magazine is very useful to them for looking for suppliers info.” On the other hand, nearly 90% of exhibitors were hardware and hand tools companies.
