Car Sales of 8 ASEAN Countries in H1 2019 Grows 0.1% from Same Period 2018


According to the survey of Malaysian Automotive Association, in the first 6 months of 2019 the total car sales in 8 ASEAN countries (incl. Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Brunei) slightly grew 0.1% to 1,693,854 units. Amongst these countries, sales in Thailand increased by 7.08% (523,770 units); Indonesia dropped by 13% (481,577 units), Malaysia grew 2.33% (296,334 units); Philippines increased by 1.5% (174,135 units); Vietnam grew 21.3% (154,273 units); Singapore increased by 1.3% (49,094 units); Myanmar grew 29.14% (8,859 units) and Brunei increased by 2% (5,812 units).
