Show Profile
The 19th biennial Ferroforma and Bricoforma during March 23-26 perfectly ended. According to the post show press release of the organizer, totally 568 exhibitors from 29 countries participated in this event. Product categories were divided into hand tools, power tools, industrial equipment, gardening, home-use hardware, etc. 16,275 visitors came to the show during the 4-day exhibition (1,000 people more than the record last year). The organizer also received many positive responses from both exhibitors and visitors, saying the show is one of the shows in Spain or pan-Europe they must attend.
Visitor Analysis
Most visitors were from domestic Spain, but those from other European countries also represented a lot. Some of them were from France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, and UK, where the hardware industry has been developing for a long history. This shows the real importance of this show in the hardware industry. In addition, visitors from Poland, Russia, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil were not absent from the show, either. Compared to the last show, the number of visitors grew by approximately 10%. These visitors from around the world not only spurred the local economy like hotels and restaurants, but also equipped the small downtown with diverse and exotic atmosphere.
What’s New at the Show
Another similar hardware show was given in Barcelona at the same time. However, there were still several visitors from Barcelona especially for the show in Bilbao, establishing Ferroforma and Bricoforma as a parameter for the hardware industry. At the show, exhibitors never lose chances to present their new products. There were over 100 kinds of news products shown this time. In addition to the exhibition of products, the organizer also arranged a series of conferences and seminars for visitors and exhibitors. Electronic guidebooks of the show were also provided in order to correspond to the idea of environmental protection, allowing every exhibitor and visitor to get convenient access to the Internet at any time.
Editor’s Notes
The life in Spain is different from many countries and the duration of an exhibition is generally longer than others, so the arrangement of time and energy should be carefully considered. Generally speaking, activities are mostly arranged in the morning. A wide range of products from home-use hardware to industrial hardware can be seen at the show. This show is also an inevitable business platform for companies interested in the market of Spain or other South European countries. The only one making the show imperfect may be the communication with local buyers in English. As a result, fluent Spanish speaking ability is definitely an inevitable tool to enter the great Spanish-speaking market.
