China to Suspend Retaliatory Tariffs on U.S. Cars for 3 Months;　USA to Suspend Effective Date for 25% Additional Tariffs on China to Mar 1st 2019

On Dec 14, The Ministry of Finance of People’s Republic of China announced the suspension for a 40% retaliatory tariff on cars imported from USA, effective Jan 1^st 2019 through Mar 1^st 2019 (The tariff on U.S. cars will be reduced from 40% to 15%　as a result). Responding to China’s concession, USA will also suspend the effective date of its 25% additional tariffs on China’s products worth US$ 200 billion from the original Jan 1^st 2019 to Mar 1^st 2019.
