David Briggs Appointed as New BSI Deputy Chair of FME/9 (Fasteners)

David Briggs, Head of Global Quality & Technical Information @Cooper & Turner, has been appointed as the new BSI Deputy Chair of FME/9 (Fasteners).

David's new prestigious and important function is on behalf of the UK National Standards Body (NSB).

His role is to support the needs of business and industry in respect of voluntary standards, ensuring open public consultation and full stakeholder engagement, in line with the principles of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

The consensus process lies at the heart of BSI’s work and David's position is key to ensuring an effective and efficient delivery from the BSI committee network.
