Alcoa Finished Acquiring TransDigm’s Aerospace Fastener Business

Alcoa declared days ago its successful acquisition of TransDigm’s Aerospace Fastener Business, the transaction value is US$0.24 billion, inclusive of approximately 400 employees and three TransDigm fastener manufacturing plants located in Sylmar, California, and Redditch and Leicester in U.K. These three plants mainly produce various kinds of high-strength, high temperature nickel alloy fasteners for special engines, airframe bolts and aerospace entry bearings.
The president of Alcoa Fastener System, Vitaliy Rusakov indicates this acquisition will promote Alcoa’s fastener system abilities in providing and designing, it is also one of strategies for accelerating global aerospace fasteners market expansion.
