China’s Fastener Export to Europe in Q1 2018 Increases by 13%
In the first quarter of 2018, China exported nearly 160,000 tons of fasteners to Europe, up 13% from the same period last year. If calculated by export value, it also increased by 13% compared to last year’s same period. However, if viewed by a single month, China’s export to Europe this March dropped to the level below 40,000 tons, down 26% from last year’s same period, but the price climbed to 2 USD/KG. Some fastener manufacturers said that the significant drop in China’s fastener export to Europe this March might be relevant to the increase in its export price. If viewed by the entire quarter, China’s fastener export to Europe in the full year of 2018 will be still very promising.
