After Chinese New Year, most Chinese steel plants began to adjust their prices up, including Wisco, Baosteel, Ansteel, Bxsteel, Shougang, Hebei iron & Steel Group, making part of the suppliers in the downstream stop accepting orders. Market analysts are pessimistic to the market trend in the following 3 months and estimate that steel plants will face pressure of price reduction in May. The situation in the first half of 2011 for steel plants is likely to deteriorate as occurred in last May and June.
