After the Chinese New Year, the wire price of Taiwan CSC for April and May is expected to increase. The new price will be announced on February 24. Due to the current influence of increasing material price, the average increase margin was up 20% from Q4 last year, resulting in the increasing steel cost. The steel cost per ton is estimated to increase US$90. That is why CSC should definitely “increase the price.” CSC thinks that the price of global flat steel billet per ton has been up to US$750 and the price of hot rolled is also up to US$710-720 (It is US$750-760 in China, higher than the US$670 of CSC). Also, the global economy is turning well, which all have become the forces to push the steel price up.
