CSC Coil Price in April and May Increases by 10%

Due to the rising price of international coal and iron, the cost of refining steel increases, and the market forecasts that the domestic selling price of Taiwan CSC in April and May will increase over NT$2,000/ ton (10%). The market analyst considers, though China and Taiwan is going to celebrate the Chinese New Year, the trade in the market becomes normal gradually. Many distributors and traders slow down their selling paces due to the expectation of increasing cost of steel in Q2. Also, under the expectation of increasing circulation in the market, the price for March of Taiwan CSC has been compensated by the increasing exchange rates. Accordingly, in order to correspond to the cost, the price for April and May will increase substantially. The related downstream industries including building, automobiles, home appliances, and shipbuilding should prepare more materials in advance.
