Japanese Nissei Reveals Warm Threading Technology in Development

Nissei Co., Ltd. is developing warm threading technology specifically tailored to materials that are difficult to process. At a Tokyo show, Nissei demonstrated warm threading of bolt made of alloy 600 by integrating its 3-die threading machine with superheated steam generator. The technology presented by Nissei is warm threading utilizing superheated steam generator. This is more energy and space efficient than using high-frequency induction heater, and the heat can pass not only the surface but also the core of the work piece to improve processing performance.
