The Vice President of Gem-Year Industrial, Zhi-Qing Tu said Jan.12 in an interview that current fasteners needed in the domestic production of China’s high-speed railway have been made in 100% and have independent intellectual property rights. Presently, 25% of China’s high-speed railway fasteners are supplied by Gem-Year. An industrial expert releases that the key components for high-speed railway operation such as wheels, axles, and bearings are nowadays not domestic. In addition, China still needs to have 100% import for bearings used in EMU speeding more than 160 km/h.
