Nitto Seiko Co., Ltd developed KATAX TM-CI self-tapping screw whose tip is tempered to be able to tap into high strength steel plate and stainless steel. The company launched sales of this product on January 20. Through exclusive high frequency heat treating technology, the company tuned up the hardness of KATAX's self-tapping portion. Furthermore, the fastening portion is carburized and quenched so there is no need to worry about delayed fracture.
