BMW of China recalls model X Vehicles
Recently, BMW of China has recalled its imported X5 vehicles since January 6, 2017. According to the company’s estimated, there will be 65 recalled vehicles in China.
The details are shown below:
56 totaled BMW X5 vehicles manufactured June 22, 2015 to September 12, 2015 have been recalled.
9 totaled BMW X6 vehicles manufactured June 26, 2015 to July 29, 2015 have been recalled.
The recalled vehicles have a Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit that may have a loose electrical ground cable, possibly causing an under-voltage condition which would result in the transmission shifting to neutral.
If the vehicle unexpectedly shifts to neutral, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will tighten the ground cable, free of charge.
