Snap-on Product Aims to Prevent Harm from Tool Drops
A tool dropped from an elevated work platform poses immediate danger to personnel and equipment below. Snap-on Industrial is taking steps to help prevent that scenario from occurring with the launch of its new Tools@Height Tools Over 5 lbs.
Ideal for the aviation, power generation, natural resources and manufacturing industries, these tethered tools come with a three-foot-long web strap/carabiner system to prevent a tool from falling to the ground. What makes the Tools@Height Tools from other similar tools is that its tethering system is designed in conjunction with the tool and not viewed as an afterthought.
The web strap doesn’t interfere with the technician’s ability to use the tool, and the web strap attachment point is more comfortable than shackles or rings and allows full use of handle. The tools weigh between six and 20 pounds.
