The Traditional Hand Tool Company Introduces Creative Design Making Ratchet Screwdriver Sets Look Like Gifts
When you see a small-size polar bear ornament wearing a Christmas-red scarf on the table, what will you think it is for? It is in fact a screwdriver with a polar-bear like decoration. When you don’t need to use it, it becomes a decoration.
These ratchet screwdriver sets with the polar-bear, penguin, owl-like decorations were all designed by iThinking company founded in April 2014. This company was formerly a creative marketing division of KING TONY based in Taiwan, which manufactures specialty hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches.
Many people think that screwdrivers are merely general products, which are always stored in drawers when they are not needed. Mr. Lin, one of the designers working for iThinking, said that the company hoped to introduce creative design into traditional hand tools, making them not just tools and able to be placed on tables as decorative ornaments.
What’s worth noting is that a general screwdriver must turn clockwise or counterclockwise to fasten or unfasten a screw, which is time-consuming. However, the new screwdriver with a ratchet design created by iThinking can complete the same task through just turning the screwdriver back and forth (a more effort-saving and time-saving way).
