Japanese Tohnichi Showcased Wearable Device for Fastening Applications

Tohnichi Co Ltd showcased a concept product in Tokyo Motor Show 2015 called "fastening system that adopts wearable device" to test market reaction. The system can be used by any operator. It pursues fastening precision and eventually enhances overall competitiveness, becoming an obvious attraction of the show.

The system utilizes head mount display to achieve accurate fastening, torque management, labor saving, and fool proofing. The advantage is that even the less skilled operators can perform correct fastening procedures and use the correct torque value. It can also prevent mistakes (such as forgetting to fasten up) common to skilled operators. Furthermore, the system can automatically collect torque value, thus eliminating the trouble of manual input and erroneous input.
