(Chicago, IL) – Architects, engineers, designers, constructors, fabricators, and owners are encouraged to enter building projects for the 2011 Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel Awards, conducted annually by the American Institute of Steel Construction(AISC). Now in its 14th year, the competition recognizes outstanding achievements in engineering and architecture on structural steel projects around the country.
Entries must include identification of the entire project team related to the use of structural steel on the project (including owner); project size and cost information; a 500 to 1,000-word project description including elements such as architectural accomplishment, structural engineering achievement, innovative project teamwork and productivity enhancement; and high-resolution photography and drawings released to AISC for use.
