Tesla expects that the total shipment for this year will be up 50% annually and the orders and shipment for Model S next year will also grow 50%. A legal person says that Taiwanese auto parts manufacturers are very active in the e-car industry. The financial report of Tesla in Q3 shows that the revenue increased 10.7% quarter on quarter to US$0.852 billion (up 97.5% from last year’s record); due to the increase in the cost for R&D and operating expenditure, the non-GAAP shows that the net profit in Q3 was US$3.17 million (EPS: US$: 0.02).
The legal person says that Taiwanese auto parts manufacturers include Fukuta Motor, Hota, Sumeeko, etc, all of which are very active in the e-car industry. Regarding the supply of automotive fasteners, Sumeeko has been selected into the T2 suppliers of Tesla, responsible for supplying fasteners for car bodies and chassis. The legal person estimates that Tesla will represent up to 8% of Sumeeko’s total sales this year, and next year may be over 10%, making it the largest customer of Sumeeko.
