Poland is situated at the heart of Central Europe and is also a member of the EU, NATO, UN, and WTO. Its role in the world has recently become more and more important. Poland is the only one among other EU member states, which still demonstrated economic growth during the financial crisis in 2009. In the most recent years, the export markets of Polish automotive and related industries have been mostly dominated by foreign automotive companies. The automotive industry has become a focused and popular industry with features of a diverse range of products and a vast and potential logistics market in the country.

Driven by lots of incentives and benefits, Fastener World Inc. and other Taiwanese fastener manufacturers including A-Plus, Kao Wein, and Dragon Iron Factory flied to Poland to take part in the TEZ Expo this year. There were about 10 fastener exhibitors in the Expo. For example, washer manufacturers Nord-Lock and Heico Poland were both present, and other leading fastener companies manufacturing large-size bolts and small screws (e.g., Asmet and Fastec Sp. Z.o.o) also came to the Expo showcasing their products. In addition to TEZ Expo for fastening technology, other fairs for welding, steel processing, and robotics were also concurrently held in the venue, gathering 187 exhibitors from 16 countries including Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, Netherlands, Turkey, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Denmark, Ukraine, Switzerland, Sweden, Canada, and Finland.

During the event, visitors were mainly from automotive, construction, chemicals & electronics engineering, mining, furniture, energy, shipbuilding, and roads industries. 5 symposiums were also given during the Expo, exploring the issues on welding and TÜV certification. The Expo was a regional fair focusing on Europe and the language used in the Expo was basically Polish.
