Even though the global steel market in the next year may face a slower demand, specialists in the industry optimistically expect a better performance in the steel market in the next year based on the reasons of stable costs, increasing supply, steel price nearly equivalent to the costs of steel plants, and low inventory of steel. The market forecasts that the price of hot rolled in East Asia in Q1 of 2011 will increase from US$605 to US$710/ ton, and the domestic price of rebar will be over US$658/ ton. CSC will announce its domestic price for March in January 2011. The industry forecasts that the price of hot rolled will increase NT$600-1,000.
