Yun Chan, located in Taichung of Taiwan, has a 40-year reputable brand attracting numerous clients from around the world to place orders. Pre-orders have been scheduled to year 2015. In order to digest the increasing orders, the company plans to set up a 5,620 m2 new plant next year with 10 sets of production equipment and expects up to 30-40% increase in the annual capacity reaching roughly 400 tons.
Yun Chan has a complete production line and specializes in making various screwdrivers, bits, and hand tool sets, offering large batch and small lot production and packaging service. The company has automatic torque testers from German Schatz and three Schatz-accredited inspecting personnel to monitor product quality and verify the compliance with quality standards. The manufacturing procedure follows DIN and ISO regulations and has passed ISO 9001 and TÜV quality system certification. The company uses German and Taiwanese top-class steel materials, and satisfies ODM and OEM demands with abundant experience, techniques, and facilities. Users are mostly from heavy industries (of aircraft skins, automotive assembly), construction industry, and gardening industry.

Yun Chan focuses on ODM and OEM service. It has been 38 years since “Green Panther” was born in the company. Company rep Ray F. J. Hsiao says, “Creating a brand is another way for clients to be acquainted with Yun Chan, so we designed our own brand. This implies our confidence in products and responsibility to clients.”
R&D and Marketing Are Both Critical
Each year Yun Chan develops 2 to 3 items in response to feedbacks collected from exhibitions or clients, while retaining its R&D momentum. The all-time R&D principle of Yun Chan is to “prolong the lifecycles of products and improve the operational efficacy”. In regard to marketing, the company proposes the most suitable products to clients according to their applications. For instance, users of the automotive assembly and the gardening industry have different demands for tools, so “oftentimes we have to think about what our clients want exactly”.
Yun Chan’s products are 100% for export and its annual sale growth stays at 5-10%. Continuous orders from around the world represent clients’ trust in Yun Chan. Speaking of operational strategy, Ray thinks that R&D is as important as marketing is. There is still large demand for consumable tools in the future. We believe that Yun Chan’s new plant will definitely bring much more overseas orders.
