Japanese Daido Steel Co. Releases Ground-breaking Titanium Alloy with High Ductility & Cold Workability
Daido Steel has developed the ground-breaking "TNCZ" titanium alloy which comparatively and considerably enhances ductility and cold workability. Currently sample orders are available, and the company will start mass producing "TNCZ" wires in October 2014. "TNCZ" is a β-type (cold workable) titanium alloy containing no nickel and vanadium. It consists of low-toxin elements, namely titanium, niobium, chromium, and zirconium. It can achieve greater ductility like never before and can be worked into complicated shapes. Therefore, it is an excellent material with innovative design ability.
