Concerning the increasing raw materials costs and the growing demands for wire rod, European Tata Steel will uplift its wire rod price by 50 euros/ ton in the first 3 months of 2011. Gareth Beese, Commercial Manager of Tata Steel stated that the demands for wire rod in Europe in the second half of 2010 was gradually improving, and he expected to see a better performance in the first half of 2011.
