FONG PREAN Invents Hardwood Fastening Savior MS Reamer

MS Reamer Resolves Users’ Urgent Problem at the Present Stage

MS Reamer (Magic Spiral Reamer) targets at European nations such as France, Spain, Germany, UK, Netherlands, and Italy. It was developed back in 2010, and was recognized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (Taiwan) as an excellence of technique in the traditional industry. In 2012, it started to develop the product in stainless steel including its head design, which was completed in July 2013 and was for sale in New Zealand and Israel in October. Is Magic Spiral Reamer magic enough and how does it convince people of using it?

Simplified Operation: The common pre-drilling method in hardwood fastening must be always done through the procedure of “drill a hole→countersink→fasten the screw”. Now with the MS Reamer, 3 steps are reduced to only one.

No Wood Splitting and Burrs: MS Reamer was invented to solve the problems of wood damage and burrs commonly seen in hardwood fastening. MS Reamer was tested with the most prevalent and second hardest IPE, and proved to be able to solve these problems while offering operators a more reasonable price with a smooth and neat fastening result.

Farewell to Screw Rupture: Changing the material from carbon steel to austenite steel can achieve better corrosion resistance, but it may be exposed to potential risk of screw rupture resulted from insufficient torque. MS Reamer for eliminating rupture has been patented in Taiwan and EU, including design of “MS Head” for the head, “HEX-STAR” for the hole, and “Reamer” for the body. The breakage of heads most operators fear will never happen to MS Reamer.

Reduced Purchasing Cost: MS Reamer is priced between those for drilling screws and self-tapping screws, but keeps the function of drilling screws. Coupled with the reduced cost from simplified operation, the purchasing cost is estimated to be lowered by 50%, but the fastening performance can exceed the previous level.

R&D Manager Tom Huang confidently elaborated on the excellence and competence of this new product. A future plan may be proposed to authorize patented MS Reamer to potential clients in every region in order to expand the distribution and stabilize the orders. Fong Prean almost releases a new model of screw per year, and its MS Reamer will head for eco-friendly building materials (such as composite boards) to open up a new territory.
