Construction Boom Boosts Bulgarian Domestic Demand for Fasteners

Bulgaria expects the sales of high-added-value fasteners will perform well. However, attention should be paid in pricing the products in correspondence to consumers' habits as most users and procuring agents mostly aim for standard products.

Bulgaria has the population of around 7.2 million people. Its manufacturing and commercial industry is still under development, and the investment capability of the government and the public is very limited. It has only one tenth of Taiwan's economic scale, thus a small scale market environment. After officially joining in EU in 2007, the Bulgarian market was integrated with the EU market. In 2012, Bulgarian GDP reached 39.667 billion Euros, up 3% from the GDP of 2011.
