SAIC Group Sees Sale of Over 5 Million Vehicles in 2013
The Shanghai, China-based SAIC Group currently reported that its annual sale in 2013 was over 5.1 million vehicles, with an annual growth of 13.7%. SAIC is the first car manufacturing group in China to reach the sale of 5 million vehicles and is active in tapping into new markets overseas.
According to one on-line report, competition of the automotive market of China in 2013 was very fierce. SAIC Group utilized its advantage in car manufacturing and co-invested with Shanghai GM, boosting its sale to increase by 13.11% annually to 1.575 million vehicles; 1.525 million vehicles and the 19.14% annual increase for Shanghai Volkswagon; 1.6 million vehicles and the 9.76% annual increase for SGMW; 0.23 million vehicles and the 15% annual increase for Roewe and MG.
