JETRO Eyeing on South African Auto Industry
JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) is eyeing on South African automobile industry, the gateway to entering the south of Sahara Desert. It plans to send 40 domestic and overseas Japanese auto-related companies for an investment mission there during March 2-7, 2014. Attendees will tour the conglomerate region of South Africa including Johannesburg / Pretoria, Durban, and Port Elizabeth. In addition to visiting the factories of Japanese, African, and foreign-invested auto and parts makers, attendees will exchange thoughts with the local government and directors of industry groups, and exchange with permanent staff of local Japanese companies, seeking various posibilities of South African auto industry via diversified programs.
