Turkey Sees Decline of Wire Rods Exports in Q3 2013

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) currently announced that the total wire rods exports of Turkey during January through September dropped by 16.73% over the previous year to 697,211 tons. During the statistical period, the total revenue generated from wire rods exports reached USD421.11 million, showing a year-over-year decline of 22.46%. The total wire rods exports in Q3 were reported to drop by 15.98% over the last quarter and reached 183,035 tons. In September, the total wire rod exports fell by 19.01% over the previous year to 60,839 tons, but demonstrated a 26.04% jump from the previous month.
