TFTA Fall Meeting and 6th Directors & Supervisors Election
Taiwan Fastener Trading Association (TFTA) held the fall meeting and the 6th election of directors and supervisors at Grand-Hilai Arena on September 27. About 250 members from around Taiwan attended this event. The election was initiated at 2pm when all members completed their registration. The 4-hour election and ballots counting went well with the assistance of incumbent directors, supervisors, and consultants. As the present and former TFTA Chairmen were all TFTA consultants, they could not be in the candidate list for directors and supervisors. Finally, Mr. Josh Chen of Yung King and other 22 members were elected to be the new directors and supervisors. According to the unanimous agreement of newly elected directors and supervisors, the new chairman goes to Mr. Bill Chen of Chite and the handing over ceremony will be given at Queena Plaza Hotel on December 6. The association welcomes the attendance of all guests, industrial professionals, and fellow members.
The meeting was opened with the short statements of incumbent TFTA Chairman Jim C.N. Chen and Secretary James Hu. Besides the election and a report on association affairs, TFTA also arranged 4 technical seminars with topics on “What’s Anti-trust?” given by Science & Technology Law Institute of Institute for Information Industry, “Antidumping in Practice and Its Solutions” given by Dr. Sui-Yu Wu of Wu & Partners, Attorneys-at-Law, “Global Competition and Expectation of Taiwan Fastener Industry” given by Engineer Chin-Chi Chen of Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC), and “Cloud Applications of Fasteners in 2013” given by Southern Taiwan Industry Promotion Center of National Sun Yat-Sen University, all which facilitated the interaction and communication among members.
