Wulfrun Fasteners Acquired by US Group

TriMas Corporation confirmed it has acquired Wulfrun Specialised Fasteners, based in Wolverhampton, UK, to help grow its Lamons energy business in Europe.
The deal is worth around US$ 9.6 million (7.3 million euros). TriMas estimates Wulfrun to have made sales equivalent to US$10 million (7.6 million euros) in 2012.
TriMas is headquartered in Michigan and produces products for the packaging, energy, aerospace and defence industries. Lamons is headquartered in Houston, Texas and supplies fasteners and gaskets to the petrochemical and energy sectors. Over recent years Lamons has opened operations worldwide and expanded through the acquisition of two Brazilian companies, Gasket Vedações Técnicas in January 2013 and CIFAL Industrial e Comercial in July 2012.
