Taiwan Fastener Industry Suffers Revenue Under Operating Costs

One Gangshan, Kaohsiung based fastener factory director said that the current order acceptance in the industry does not look quite well and many companies are suffering from the revenue under their operating costs. It is expected that Taiwan CSC should decrease the wire coil price further, helping the industry get through the hard time.

A statement from a fastener factory detailed that the sale to the European market has been frozen, though with a better situation in the U.S. market. However, the low-price competition from China squeezes the industry from gaining more profits, mostly attributed to the insufficient price decrease of wire coil in July and August. It is still deemed necessary to decrease the price in order to increase the competitiveness in downstream.
