Mexico to Investigate AD Duty on Steel Products Import from China

Reportedly, Mexican steel industry chamber Canacero, announced to review imports of steel from China because the unfair trade practices which will cause injury to Mexico's steel industry. The country reported that China exported about 143,219 tons of steel products to Mexico in the first three months of 2013, increasing 18.4% from 120,934 tons compared to the same period of 2012. Meanwhile, Mexico has claimed that unfair trade practices therefore, the Mexican government has imposed AD duty on steel products import from China in order to protect domestic steel makers.
